The
new way.
In prehistoric times, the only way a member of the public could invest in start-up companies during the pre-IPO (initial public offering) or IPO stage was to know a member of the company’s management team or to have a stock broker who had access to the deal.
With the regulatory approval of crowdfunding and funding portals such as Stockosaurus, that old way of pre-IPO fundraising that excluded the public from participating in early-stage investing is now extinct.

Equity crowdfunding.

Through our website, residents of Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Ontario, and Saskatchewan can invest in private companies that are in early stages of development.
We specialize in what is known as “equity crowdfunding” where investors purchase securities of corporations.
All of the companies that raise money through Stockosaurus intend to apply to have their shares trade on a Canadian stock exchange so that you can eventually sell your shares in the public market.
